What to Expect
At Align, we’re with you every step of the way – ensuring you receive the care, attention, and technology you deserve.
Assessment
Your journey begins with a comprehensive evaluation where we discuss your medical history, level of amputation, lifestyle, goals, and any specific challenges you may face. This is also a time for us to answer your questions and begin developing a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.
Shape Capture
Once you’re ready to move forward, we take an accurate capture of your residual limb using traditional casting methods or digital scanning technology. This step is essential for creating a custom-fit prosthetic socket that maximizes comfort, control, and function.
Diagnostic Fitting
Next, we provide a temporary or “test” socket – called a diagnostic socket – to assess the fit, alignment, and comfort. You’ll have the chance to try it out, and we’ll make any necessary adjustments based on your feedback and our clinical observations. This stage ensures your final prosthesis will perform at its best.
Final Fitting
After confirming the optimal fit and function, we fabricate your definitive prosthesis using high-quality materials and components selected for your activity level and goals. At this fitting, we fine-tune the alignment and train you on how to use and care for your new device.
Follow-Up Care
Ongoing support is a critical part of long-term success. We schedule regular follow-up visits to monitor your progress, make adjustments as needed, and address any changes in comfort or performance. Our team is always here to help you stay mobile, active, and confident.
